Hey yinz guys:

This is Ferris... I wrote a couple biggish things about the Cruisers & Mark a couple years back, including this:

http://www.clevescene.com/cleveland/cru ... id=1831220

...I'm originally from California, PA — saw the Cruisers play Cal State a couple times as a kid.

ANYHOW, here's my question:

Were any of you around to witness the origins of the crowd countdown in "Love is Like a Rock" -- the famous "1-2 / 1-2-3-4"?

I've been told it happened early in the band's career, and I've also been told it started late in the 80s.

Anyhow have some memories of it?

Thanks!

This predates me, but if I were guessing I'd say late 80s makes sense.
